Scotch Brite Infini-Spray

Overview

My product design studio class during my second year of University had us collaborating with 3M’s Scotch Brite brand. Our prompt was to design new cleaning tools. It was during this project where I designed a multi-functional spray bottle which can use solutions for multiple surfaces by switching the solvent that mixes with the water.

At the time of carrying out this project, I had learned new skills of rendering surface textures in Keyshot and actualizing my CAD models through 3D printing. I also learned how aerosol-esque spray bottles functioned by disassembling a spray bottle head and remodeling the parts and system in CAD software. If i were to revisit this project, I would focus more on additional storage for the solution cartridges, reimagine the environmentally friendly aspect from the design brief, and detail the business model for the product’s replaceable components.
